"There are so many things we pray for during the day. We've seen the power of prayer in our own family-both in times of crisis and in daily life. Our Catholic faith offers us beautiful ways to pray through participation at the Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, the Holy Rosary, devotions to our beloved saints, and many others. A good prayer life forms us into God's servants, knowing we're here to do His will.
We support the Catholic Stewardship Appeal because it serves God's will here in our Archdiocese. It answers prayers for Church vocations and leadership; for ministries that bring people to the Catholic faith; and for ministries that increase our own faith, hope, and love for God. The Appeal also helps care for our brothers and sisters in need.
Through a desire to love as Christ loves, we are called to share our gifts and talents with others. A wonderful priest once said, "The only thing we will take to heaven is what we have given away." The amount of generosity in our Archdiocese is truly an answer to prayers.
Will you give prayerful consideration to making the most generous gift you can this year? Something wonderful happens when you become more generous-grace flows back to you. Please give. You may not think your gift is that significant, but combined with others, its impact is immeasurable.
May the blessing of prayer enlarge your heart and offer you peace and true joy."
