Few comforts are permitted in prison. But one that is allowed - and is much in demand - is the Bible. It helps encourage a surprising degree of spirituality in prisons, as inmates contemplate the reasons they are there.

Corrections ministry, supported by the Catholic Stewardship Appeal, provides inmate visitation, sacramental ministry and volunteer coordination in prison facilities in southeastern Wisconsin. It is testimony to the fact that though prisons may be forgotten places, they are never forsaken by God and His grace.
