"There isn't a perfect couple and everyone goes through struggles," notes Mary Bryson. Along with her husband Arnie, they're filling what they feel is a gap—a ministry to strengthen married couples when they need it the most. It could be during the first year, which many couples find difficult. Or it could be five or seven years down the road, or when couples are going through the empty-nest syndrome.

"Living marriage by God's design and not your own will make you happy and make your marriage better," believes Mary. With planning support from the Nazareth Project, an Appeal-funded program, the Bryson's ministry gives couples the opportunity to hear speakers, reflect alone and together, and share experiences with other couples. "There was a reason they fell in love in the first place," says Mary. "It's finding it again that we're aiming for."
